An established FMCG manufacturer and distributed with multiple locations within the island of Ireland has experienced considerable growth and market demand for their product range and their existing manufacturing infrastructure needs to be transformed to increase capacity to meet that demand. As a result they need to hire an Operations Excellence Manager for a two year fixed term contract to implement  a group lean manufacturing program.
  • This role will report into a new Operations Director and will be focused on designing and implementing a lean program across all functions within supply chain and manufacturing to significantly increase the capacity within end to end operations.
  • Another focus of this role is develop a culture of continuous improvement and best practice throughout manufacturing to ensure the organisation has the agility to scale upwards in the most cost effective manner.
  • This position will also focus on delivering cost savings and reducing waste through out all functions within manufacturing and supply chain  through practice.
  • This role will develop a culture of lean throughout the business by appointing a lean champion within each team in manufacturing and supply chain to ensure best practice is maintained throughout the organisation.
Ideally degree qualified with 8-10 years lean manufacturing experience ideally within a high volume manufacturing environment.
A proven track record of implementing lean principles with a lean manufacturing qualification is required.
