My client is seeking to recruit an experienced Electrical Engineer to join
the Critical Utilities team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Utilities Operations and Maintenance, the Electrical Engineer, will work as part of the team to deliver Electrical services across the site, and support the transition of major capital projects to Operations ownership
This role will specifically support the site Electrical and Life Safety systems, and electrical components of Utility systems and infrastructure, for example boilers, compressors, chillers, water (potable/city/softened etc.), Waste Water Treatment Plant. The role will also support the oversight of the Hard Services Provider.
Responsibilities:
- Working with the Critical Utilities Operations and Maintenance team to maximise Critical Utility equipment. This will include optimisation and development of plant operation, maintenance plans, standard operating procedures,risk assessments etc
- Ensuring that maintenance standards are set to ensure safe and reliable operations by driving Reliability Excellence
- Reviewing vendor documents and reports, and managing the effective close out of Work Orders on site CMMS
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and maintain environmental control
- Overseeing service delivery and maintaining and growing relationships with Service Providers in partnership with stakeholders such as Operations, Maintenance, EHS, Quality, Procurement, global departments
- Ensuring all the operating systems are in compliance with all Regulatory and Legal requirements including, EPA license, Quality (cGDP/GMP's), EHS, Global Engineering, design & construction directives, requirements & procedures.
- Technical input for Utility O&M during all stages of project development and ensuring key deliverables are met tofacilitate hand-over of projects to the Operations team
- Participation in regulatory and corporate audits.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an Engineering role overseeing Electrical Maintenance in a regulated manufacturing environment
- Minimum of an Electrical Trade qualification with further development in their career history and /or a level 8 degree for the Electrical Utility position
- High level of computer literacy with experience in CMMS, safety investigation systems, Utility system software systems
- Experience and competency in the generation, revision, and review of Engineering Technical documentation (SOPs, Wis, PMs, JPs)
- Experience in reading functional design specifications, control drawings, electrical drawings, and P&ID's
- Experience in planning, executing, and overseeing maintenance shutdowns
- Experience in Electrical system start-up & commissioning
- Experience in Life Safety & Security systems (Fire Alarm, Access Control, CCTV, Emergency Lighting etc.)
- Ability to work in a fast-moving and dynamic environment and meet deadlines. Good delegation, organizing and planning skills
