A leading global healthcare organisation who have grown massively by acquisition in recent years are undergoing significant transformation within their global end to end supply chain in particular within their global logistics and distribution functions. This transformation has resulted in the organisation consolidating their EMEA Freight Operations into their global headquarters in Ireland. As a result they are looking to hire a new European  Transport Manager.

• This role will report into a Global Director of Logistics & Distribution and be focused on managing effectively all freight operations for the organisation within the EMEA region.
• The major focus of this role will be to ensure that all freight suppliers across air , road and sea provide best in class service for the organisation’s expanding operations in the EMEA region.
• Another important aspect of this role is negotiate the best agreements across all freight suppliers within sea , air and road to deliver significant and ongoing cost reduction within all the organisation’s EMEA freight operations.
• This role will require the individual to significantly rationalise suppliers within EMEA region as the organisation continues to grow through acquisition.

Ideally degree qualified with 8 plus years freight experience at a regional or global level.

Significant supplier management across road, sea & air freight is required for this role .

Strong negotiation skills and proven track record of cost reduction are an essential requirement.
