Senior Supply Chain Project Manager (FTC - 9 Months)

Pharmaceutical Sector | Dublin (Hybrid)

An expanding pharmaceutical organisation is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Project Manager to lead a critical transformation programme establishing a new end-to-end distribution model through a third-party logistics provider.

The Opportunity

This role sits at the centre of a strategic shift from an established broker model to a direct wholesale operating model. You will design and implement the full supply chain framework, working closely with executive leadership to translate strategy into operational reality.

You will have significant visibility at C-suite level, influencing key decisions around operating model design, outsourcing strategy, and long-term supply chain capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of a new end-to-end supply chain operating model, covering planning, inventory, distribution and reverse logistics
  • Establish and onboard a third-party logistics (3PL) provider, including performance frameworks, SLAs and governance
  • Ensure full compliance with GDP, HPRA, controlled drug and cold chain requirements
  • Develop forecasting, demand planning and inventory strategies to support a scalable model
  • Define systems and data requirements, including integration with ERP and external partners
  • Act as programme lead, engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across Commercial, Quality, Finance, Technology and Operations
  • Deliver robust governance, SOPs and operating structures to enable successful handover

Your Background

  • 8-10 years plus experience in end-to-end supply chain management
  • Proven track record delivering distribution operating model design and implementation, ideally within outsourced or evolving environments
  • Strong experience establishing or managing distributor networks and 3PL partnerships
  • Deep understanding of regulated distribution (GDP, cold chain, controlled drugs)
  • Commercially astute with the ability to influence at executive level
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex transformation programmes within defined timelines
