Job Title: New Product Development (NPD) Manager

Location: Naas, Co. Kildare

About: My client is a leading player in the food industry, committed to delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our customers. As they continue to expand our product portfolio, we're on the lookout for a talented and innovative NPD Manager to join our client's passionate team.


  1. Product Strategy and Planning:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive NPD strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
    • Create product roadmaps and prioritize projects based on market trends, consumer insights, and business goals.
  2. Cross-functional Collaboration:

    • Foster collaboration between the NPD team, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to ensure seamless product launches.
    • Act as a key liaison between departments, facilitating effective communication and knowledge sharing.
  3. Market Research and Analysis:

    • Conduct market research to identify gaps and opportunities in the food industry.
    • Analyze competitor products, pricing strategies, and consumer preferences to inform NPD decisions.
  4. Recipe Development and Testing:

    • Lead recipe ideation and development, working closely with chefs, food scientists, and other team members.
    • Oversee product testing and refinement, ensuring products meet quality and taste standards.
  5. Project Management:

    • Manage the end-to-end product development process, from concept to commercialization.
    • Establish and monitor project timelines, ensuring deadlines are met and resources are optimally utilized.
  6. Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure all products comply with regulatory standards and certifications.
    • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to maintain high-quality standards throughout the development process.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in NPD roles within the food industry, with a track record of successful product launches.
  • Strong knowledge of food trends, ingredients, and culinary techniques.
  • Proven project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
