QC Microbiology Analyst
Location: Ireland, Dublin (Onsite) Shift: 12/7 pattern possible

Key Responsibilities
- Perform bioburden and endotoxin testing of drug product, drug substance, raw materials, and water utilities
- Conduct microbial identification using MALDI / MicroSeq and support PCR testing
- Carry out environmental monitoring in cleanrooms (Grades A-D, predominantly Grade C)
- Perform utility sampling of water systems, clean steam, compressed air, and gas
- Support isolator batch monitoring and handle biological indicators (issuance, receipt, testing)
- Participate in Aseptic Process Simulations (APS/media fills) and reconciliation of media-filled units
- Investigate and document OOS/OOT events and deviations, maintaining accurate GMP documentation
- Review and reconcile laboratory paperwork and reports
- Support cross-functional teams to meet production and qualification schedules
- Ensure adherence to GMP, safety, and lean laboratory practices, maintaining high standards of housekeeping
- Assist in authoring and reviewing SOPs, training documents, and laboratory procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Level 8 degree in Microbiology or related Life Sciences
- 1-2 years' experience in a pharmaceutical/healthcare laboratory or GMP microbiology role
- Hands-on experience in aseptic technique, environmental monitoring, utility sampling, or product testing
- Cleanroom experience is essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
- Willingness to work a 12/7 shift pattern if required
Desirable
- Sterility testing experience
- Experience with isolator monitoring and biological indicators
- Compressed air/gas sampling experience
- MALDI / MicroSeq microbial identification or PCR experience
- Familiarity with laboratory systems such as MODA, Empower, CIMS, LIMS, LES, or Veeva Vault
- Exposure to investigations, lean lab practices, or 6S methodologies
