New Product Development (NPD) Manager
Location: Cork, Ireland
Industry: Food Manufacturing

We are seeking an experienced NPD Manager to lead the development of new and innovative food products for our manufacturing facility based in Cork. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food product development, a passion for innovation, and the ability to bring new products to market in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage the NPD pipeline, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget across the department
• Work closely with R&D, sales, marketing, and other departments to ensure successful product launches
• Conduct market research to identify new product opportunities and trends
• Develop product prototypes, conduct taste tests, and gather customer feedback
• Manage the product development process, from ideation to commercialization
• Ensure that all products meet regulatory and quality requirements
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, co-manufacturers, and customers
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity, and make recommendations for product improvements or new product launches

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, or a related field
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in product development in the food industry, proven track record of managing teams
• Proven track record of bringing new products to market in a fast-paced environment
• Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, quality standards, and ingredient sourcing
