Quality Assurance Technician

Are you ready for your next role as a Quality Assurance Technician?

Next Generation are currently recruiting a self-motivated Quality Assurance Technician for a leading manufacturing facility based in County Westmeath. We are seeking someone who will be responsible for ensuring that Company and customer quality standards are adhered to across the factory. The successful candidate will utilise their experience, skills and training to manage any QA issues which may impact food safety, quality. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wishes to develop their career in a growing food manufacturing company.

This role is Monday to Friday days position based on site in Westmeath. The role will report to the Site Quality Manager and will offer excellent opportunities to progress your career.

What are the key responsibilities?

  • Implement and maintain site Food Safety and Quality Management Systems
  • Assist with internal audits
  • Daily supervision of on-line QMS system checks and procedures
  • Microbiological sampling / booking
  • Control of shelf-life testing / nutritional testing and sampling in line with schedules
  • Conduct on-the-floor personal hygiene training, QC skills training for operators, relevant food safety & CCP training for relevant operators as requested
  • Record internal audits as requested
  • Attend regular meetings and report all requested information in preparation for the meetings to the Quality Manager

What do you need to be successful in this role?

  • Degree or Diploma in a food-related discipline
  • 1+ years' work experience in a similar role within the food industry
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player
  • Have an aptitude for problem solving
  • Have basic computer literacy
  • Be a confident and informed decision maker
