Specification Technologist & Internal Auditor

Now Hiring: Specification Technologist & Internal Auditor | Food Manufacturing | Naas, Co. Kildare

I'm currently working with a leading food production group in Kildare that's looking to add a Specification Technologist & Internal Auditor to their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in food science or chemistry and experience in food manufacturing to take on a varied, quality-focused role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and develop accurate product specifications in line with company and regulatory standards
• Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits to ensure compliance
• Review and approve artwork and packaging for regulatory and company compliance
• Participate in supplier audits and assessments
• Ensure documentation related to specifications, quality control, and auditing is accurate and up to date
• Support cross-functional teams on product launches and spec updates
• Stay informed on food safety, quality, and labelling legislation
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Skills & Experience Required:

• Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of HACCP, BRC, and other food safety/quality systems
• Experience with internal audits (preferred)
• Familiarity with food legislation and labelling in Ireland/UK
• Experience with retailer spec systems
• Strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Location: On-site in Naas, Co. Kildare (some travel required)
