Job Description:
As a Dewatering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of dewatering activities within our organization. Your primary objective will be to efficiently manage water removal processes to ensure the smooth progress of construction projects or mining operations while adhering to environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive dewatering plans and strategies for construction sites or mining operations.
  • Lead and supervise dewatering teams, including operators and technicians, to ensure effective execution of dewatering activities.
  • Conduct site assessments to identify water accumulation challenges and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Manage and maintain dewatering equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety standards.
  • Monitor groundwater levels and quality to assess the effectiveness of dewatering operations and make necessary adjustments.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit requirements.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to dewatering activities, including groundwater monitoring data and compliance records.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the dewatering process and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, best practices, and technological advancements in dewatering techniques.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental science, hydrogeology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience 5 in dewatering operations, preferably in the construction or mining industry.
  • Strong understanding of groundwater principles and dewatering techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and permit requirements related to dewatering activities.
  • Ability to analyse data and problem-solve effectively.
  • Proficiency in using dewatering equipment and related software tools.
